Which GM has made the best moves to improve their teams chances of winning it all?
ANDY: Gotta say Jazz. I still feel they could've gotten Bert for cheaper but there pickup of Howard has been awesome and has helped big time. Jazz got the right personal to fit in with the rest of the team and it has so far worked out.
DUCE: Nova for sure. Almost every element of basketball is accounted for on the Jazz and all of a sudden they're unstoppable.
JEREMY: Not to be biased, but my former GM Spence. Boston was a crappy team before he took it over. Now they have a chance to compete immediately, if i'm not mistake they are only 1 game out of the top spot in East. He still has his core players such as Green/Al Jeff, in addition to solid players like Al Harrington, Stephen Jackson and Delonte West.
DAN: I do not like to Brag, But I think I have done a great job of changing my team around while still keeping kobe. I acquired Baron Davis, Shawn Marion, and recently Zo Mourning. I do believe I have changed the face of this franchise around and set myself up pretty nicely for a solid team for many years.
Which GM has done the best job of setting themselves up for a successful rebuilding process?
ANDY: Indy, by default. I wasn't a big fan of what they traded JO for but at least they are trying to tank, I mean lose games. They have solid youth and should have some nice cap space to work with. I'm sure I'm forgetting some team that should be here so if I do, sorry.
DUCE: Habs. I don't think a lot of people have been doing great in this aspect. Indiana has worked the hardest and New Orleans is set up well because of one player alone. But Golden State is going to be in the best cap shape, have great draft picks and already has a variety of young prospects, although no real superstar potential.
JEREMY: As of now, I would have to say the Philly 76ers. I like the young talent in Carney, Armstrong and Iguodala, along with others. He may not compete for a few years, but once Iguodala meets the potential I think he will, watch out for this team.
DAN: I really like what the warriors have down over there, he has loads of youth and talent to work with, and his own pick which seems like its going to be top 5 at least. He has done a nice job and if he can land a solid player this draft he will have done a great job of rebuilding the warriors.
Which GM (Excluding Will, since he's on vacation) on the waiting list should get the next open spot in UOSL?
ANDY: aaron2344. The guy has done a great job in BBS. He's an awesome GM, he's not an asshole, seems like an overall cool guy, at least whenever he PMs me in the offseason. I'd say he should get the next open team.
DUCE: Trunks, because he's actually attempted to make trades, and has completed one. We talk about the league and the team every day. He was a long-term UOSL1 GM, and a good one at that. This is not just me sticking up for my assistant, it's all facts.
JEREMY: DaveDeLaFuente, Philly Asst. IMO, he has been the most active of the assistants and has been the easiest to reach to talk trade. I think he would make a nice addition to the league, although I don't know if he could immediately make an impact to the team.
DAN: Go trunks should get the next team open and then after him Bluedevilsrock should get one. Both were great members in UOSL1, and both have shown activity in the new uosl as well. Great gms, with great skills.
If you could choose one player right now to build around, who would it be, and why?
ANDY: LeBron of course. 21 yrs old, triple double threat, can play a few different positions and locked up for 4 years.
DUCE: Dwight Howard. Even with LeBron James and Kobe Bryant here, I'm sticking with what I feel succeeds. Dwight is very young, he blocks, rebounds better than almost anyone, is a great scorer and he's not even done improving yet!
JEREMY: I would definitely build around Dwight Howard. Big men like this don't come around very often. He has great athleticism and is a double double monster almost every night. The only thing he really needs to improve on is his outside scoring ability, but I don't know if that will ever become a part of his game. Outside of that he is already a superstar.
DAN: Lebron James I would go with here, he is 21 years old and is a machine already. Scoring 33 ppg, leading the cavs to a winning season practically by himself, he is definetly somebody you want on your team, and the guy you build your team around.
Which GM do you feel that shouldn't belong in UOSL 2, or still have to prove themselves worthy?
ANDY: Suns GM. I wasn't a big fan of the deal and I haven't seen him really do anything of value since. He has a right to build his team how he wants but considering what he had and what he did, he better do a damn good job building up that team. I wouldn't say he doesn't belong but more like prove themselves.
DUCE: Easy answer. Jeremy. I've expressed my thoughts on this matter so many times, I won't even bother here. There are more than several other GMs who deserve a spot more than him.
JEREMY: I would say Dmoney. I only say this by looking at his little amount of posts and his inactivity. If you don't have the time to be active enough, you should not be in this league, also he has really made little negotiations with anyone at all so far.
DAN: Scott the Blazers gm for me personally. This guy talks a big game, and hasnt shown anything to back it up. I do not think he has made any trades and just talks and talks and talks. Once in awhile you have to know when to shut up and just gm your team, because sooner or later your just going to look like a dumb ass, (if he hasnt already).
