Boston Celtics
Draft Picks:
(2)18 Sean Singletary PG 6'0'' 185 22 C B C C C- D
The Celtics couldn't really do much. Their first round draft choice was far away in Phoenix (The Suns took Arizona stand-out Marcus Williams) and when the Celtics came on the clock in the second round (18th) there wasn't much left, although Alando Tucker or Bobby Brown might have been better picks.

Miami Heat
Draft Picks:
10 - Mike Conley Jr. PG 6'1'' 180 20 C+ C B- B- D+ A
17 - Hasheem Thabeet C 7'3'' 255 20 C D D- B- C+ A
26 - Marc Gasol C 7'1'' 270 22 B- C- D C C+ B
At pick 10, the Heat did what experts had been begging teams to do since pick 4 and Al Horford went of the board. Draft Mike Conley Jr. For having the guts to pick Conley Jr. gives the Heat a dynamic back-court, letting Gordan slide over to the two spot full time. Thabeet at 17 solved a need for the Heat, before the draft they had a grand total of 3 players over 6-9 (although Swift is hardly 6-9) Thabeet may come in and start even as a very raw project. 9 picks later the Heat again took a big-man. Overall a very profitable draft on south beach.

New Jersey Nets
Draft Picks:
(2)22 Sun Yue SG 6'9'' 205 21 C+ C C+ C- D B
So wait, are the Nets rebuilding or contending? Anyways, a very solid second rounder for them Sun could be a highly interesting prospect. he's long, and can handle the ball amazingly well for a man that's 6'9"
Grade:C
New York Knicks
Draft Picks:
15 - Aaron Gray C 7'1'' 270 23 B- D+ C- C B- B
(2)15 Cartier Martin SF 6'8'' 220 22 C+ C+ C- C C- C
Gray will provide some size and depth to the Knicks but I feel he has hit his potential, and although the Knicks are loaded at the guard i have a feeling that passing on Acie Law IV and Marcus Williams will hurt in the future. I'm no badgers fan but really, why does everyone pass on Alando Tucker the Knicks lose points for that.
Grade:C
Orlando Magic
Draft Picks:
9 - Roy Hibbert C 7'2'' 278 20 B- D+ D+ B- C+ B
(2)7- Aaron Brooks PG 6'0'' 165 22 C B C+ C D+ C
Hibbert is a nice pick, you don't see guys that big and strong often; BUT you don't see high-flying Frenchmen like Batum, pure point-men like Conley Jr. and do it all Asians like Jianlian often. Alright enough of my ranting and raving. Hibbert will provide Chris Paul an excellent target to throw too. Aaron Brooks in the second round is a nice surprise I'm surprised Duckey didn't decide that Brooks would be the second coming of DeAngelo Alexander (shades of UOSL )
Grade:B
Philadelphia 76ers
Draft Picks:
4 Al Horford PF 6'10'' 245 21 B- D+ C B C+ A
27 - Arron Afflalo SG 6'5'' 215 22 C B C- C+ D+ B
(2)2 -Dominic James PG 5'11'' 175 21 C+ C C+ C+ D B
Horford in my mind could turn out as a poor man's Elton Brand. If he lives up to that the Sixers got something nice at 4. What really sets apart this draft is look for every player taken to come in and contend for a starting spot. Dom James in the second round grades this draft out to very nice in my mind.

Washington Wizards
Draft Picks:
29 - Gabe Pruitt PG 6'4'' 175 21 C B- C+ C+ D B
29 - Brad Newley SG 6'6'' 198 22 C+ C C- C D+ B
Not bad not bad at all for the defending champs. Snatching up Pruitt with the last pick in the first round to come and be the back up to tins? I like it alot. Newley is just useless though. that's what the NBA has a D-league for.
