#1...J-Mychal Reese?
1. SG J-Mychal Reese
Many say Reese is the next LeBron James. If that’s the case, no doubt Reese will be the first pick off the board. Toronto is rebuilding and it doesn’t get any better by building around a future young stud.
2. C Dre Kalo
With Reese gone, the Warriors can’t go wrong by picking the best big man available. Talented centers like Kalo are tough to come by these days.
3. PG Tavon Sledge
Although Washington is already filled with Point Guards, they cannot pass up a prospect like Sledge at this pick. Sledge could of went #1 or #2, but since Washington is picking #3 they will have to select the best available prospect in Tavon Sledge, who will be a STUD in the future.
4. PG Trae Golden
The Jazz selects the second best Point Guard in this draft. Although Golden is still nursing an injury, the Jazz takes a risk based on what he brings on the table. Scouts say he’s a beast with skills in Strength, Quickness, and Jumping. With this move the Jazz can shift Derrick Rose to shooting guard.
5. C Roshon Prince
Spurs REALLY needs a center and selecting Roshon Prince would be a great start. He’s only 19 and is the second best center behind Dre Kalo in this draft. He also has tremendous upside.
6. PG K.C. Ross Miller
The Nets are rebuilding and selecting a Point Guard at this pick would make sense for them. Ross is an all around pure point guard who plays tough defense. Everything on a basketball team starts with the Point Guard so that’s why the Nets select K.C. Ross Miller.
7. PF Bernard Sullivan
Although the Bulls are filled with forwards, they cannot pass up a prospect like Sullivan. The kid from North Carolina is only 21 and could be a beast inside scorer and defender in the future. His height at 6’11” with some added pounds can shift him to center too. His ratings also reminds me of when Brandan Wright declared in 2007.
8. SF Dominique Ferguson
Tough pick here but I see the Rockets selecting the best small forward prospect this draft. Ferguson is a beast who can score from anywhere on the court. He has mad hops with good shot blocking ability.
9. SG Trevon Bluiett
Boston is filled everywhere but point guard. But since the best point guards were taken early in the draft, I see Boston selecting a very young shooting guard prospect in Bluiett. The kid has amazing upside at 19 years old and that’s why Boston takes the risk here.
10. PF Darrin Perdue
The Kings could use defense up front and that’s why they select Darrin Perdue. The kid is only 19 and his defense can potentially be A+ someday if he pans out right.
11. SG Stedman Lowry
Tough pick here but I see the Magic selecting a very young shooting guard prospect in Lowry. The Magic are looking for future pieces and that’s why they select one of the top shooting guard prospects at only 19 years old. Lowry can be a steal at this pick as well. However he is very undersized but that is why he falls at this pick.
12. SF Xavier Green
Ever since losing Carmelo Anthony, the Nuggets always cried for that wing. At this pick the Nuggets select the second best small forward in this draft. Although Green has not progressed that much through college, scouts believe he is still the real deal, in terms of having great size and playing hard.
13. SG Davontay Grace
After selecting K.C. Ross Miller earlier in the draft, the Nets continue to bring youth in the backcourt by selecting Davontay Grace out of Kentucky. Scouts say he has tremendous upside with plenty of room to grow. Although his offense is raw and his handles isn’t that good yet, Grace has amazing quickness, especially on the defensive end. He should become a really good defender for Brooklyn in the future.
