Yeah, i was bored. ;D Since the league hasn't had a Power Ranking in who knows when, i thought i would do one.
1. Memphis Grizzlies - Hasn't missed a beat with a new team. With Igoudala stepping up big time for the team,
look for them to contend for the championship. Not to mention a potential ROY in Reese who is playing great.
2. Seattle Sonics - Also another team that changed greatly. Ricky Rubio is doing a fine job in place of Deron Williams.
New addition Amare Stoudemire is also putting up great numbers the Sonics. Wade and Amare are a duo to look out for.
3. Philadelphia 76ers - Newly acquired Gilbert Arenas has proven he can still play. Luther Head has nicely fit into the
starting role at the PG position too. They may have started strong but it seems that they will slowly fall out of first
in the tough East.
4. Indiana Pacers - Defending champions. Starting off slow as they did last season. It really doesn't matter in the
regular season for them, as long as they make playoffs, they'll do damage.
5. New Orleans Hornets - With Kobe Bryant leading the way after Dirk Nowitzki retired, they are off to a great start.
Ralph Sampson is leading the league in blocks with an unheard of 5.9 blocks per game. Leandro Barbosa is also
leading the league in assists with 13.1. Watch this team to also slowly fall.
6. Minnesota Timberwolves - Not much as changed with this team, except with a healty Charlie Villanueva with
team leading scoring of 24.9 points. Carlos Boozer shows his dominant ways in the post with 21.4 points and
14.6 rebounds. This team also has questions if they can keep up the great play.
7. Utah Jazz - Another potential ROY canidate in Tavon Sledge, is helping leading the way for the Utah Jazz.
Kevin Durant an offseason acquisition, is playing spectacular ball for the Jazz and hopefully keeps
it up for them to make playoffs.
8. New York Knicks - Not much can be said about the Knicks. They're playing decent ball right now, Boynton
and Okafor are the ones leading the team and hopefully they'll make it to the playoffs again.
9. Dallas Mavericks - Great backcourt in Conley and Brandon Knight. Hopefully the duo can keep it up
in the tough West. John Crowder is making noise to be another ROY canidate.
10. Toronto Raptors - After one horrible season for the Raptors, they've managed to rise to the top with great
play from underrated PG Marcus Williams and Derrick Rose. They are a very young team and can do great
for a very long time. All they need is a defensive and rebounding Center and they'll make even more noise come
playoff time.
11. Portland Trailblazers - Great all around play from their main four players in Krstic, Aldridge, Roy and Mayo.
If they can potential get a decent SG who can shoot and play some defense, they're off to the races.
12. Los Angeles Lakers - Even though they started off as 3-4, they are still a dangerous team. Yao Ming is struggling
with limited time. Although Morris Almond and TJ Ford are picking up the slack, their big men need to step it up in
order for them to succeed.
13. Cleveland Cavaliers - Amazing player in LeBron James, arguably the best player in the league. Still needs a
great supporting cast though Petteri Koponen and Eddy Curry are helping a bit.
14. Milwaukee Bucks - Slow start for the Bucks. Chris Paul is having another potential MVP season.
Possibly another big time scorer can help this franchise out to winning a ring and getting some load off
of Chris Paul's shoulders.
15. Chicago Bulls - .500 club. Carmelo Anthony is single handedly putting this ball club into the playoffs.
He's in the same boat as LeBron James with not having a great support cast.
16. Atlanta Hawks - Stuckey and Harden are pulling this team. They have decent pieces all together, but
their coaching and chemistry are possibly one reason why they aren't doing too well as they should be.
17. Miami Heat - Hardly holding onto the 8th position in the East. What they are missing is a superstar
type player to lead them into the playoffs. Tim Duncan has passed his prime and cannot carry this team.
18. Los Angeles Clippers - Loul Deng in the same boat as Melo and LBJ. Although he has a better supporting
cast in Brandon Jennings and Randy Foye. Maybe a better PF can put this team over the top.
19. Detroit Pistons - With the league leading scoring team, 116.3 points is not enough to put more wins.
If they can play a lick of defense then possibly they can win more games.
20. Denver Nuggets - Don't expect much from this club, they're hanging on the 8th position by a thread.
Dexter Strickland 3rd year pro is making some noise averaging 21 points a game.
21. Washington Wizards - Another struggling club. Maurice Williams possibly needs to pass the ball
more. Rudy Gay is not himself and struggling too. They need Gay to step it up in order for them to succeed.
Possibly a move for a better frontcourt could help too.
22. San Antonio Spurs - The team has some nice young players in Lamb and Sullivan. Also they've got
some great Wing players. If they can beef up the frontcourt like the Wizards, they can do some damage
in the West. Possibly make a run at Sonics or Grizzlies for top place.
23. Houston Rockets - Dominic Cheek and Alexy Shved are having break out seasons. Like previous clubs
they need more help in the frontcourt.
24. Phoenix Suns - A lot of question marks to why this team is just 1-5. DeMarcus Cousins nice ball player.
Deron Williams and Tracy McGrady make a deadly backcourt duo. Maybe some front court depth can
turn this team around.
25. Orlando Magic - No Magic left, no GM. No Wonder why this team is struggling. Lets hope they
hire a great GM for this team.
26. Boston Celtics - Definatley one of the teams that need backcourt help. Got some great pieces
to trade for the much needed help.
27.Sacramento Kings - Young team, needs more development for them to do something. Maybe in a
couple of seasons they'll do something. Kevin Martin is heard to be on the block.
28. Brooklyn Nets - Potential ROY in Trae Golden. Allen Iverson and Ben Gordon are screaming for
more playing time and possible trade. Additional Center can help this club out too.
29. Golden State Warriors - Got some decent veterans in Jameer Nelson, Baron Davis and Elton Brand.
This team is probably looking for the #1 overall pick in the 2015 draft. Also their top C, Dre Kalo is out
for a while. Can't complain for this GM i guess.
1. Memphis Grizzlies - Hasn't missed a beat with a new team. With Igoudala stepping up big time for the team,
look for them to contend for the championship. Not to mention a potential ROY in Reese who is playing great.
