Here are the top 10 Most Wanted (Not the most talented) PGs in UOSL2:
1 - Tavon Sledge PG 22 5'11'' 189 A- C+ A B C- A (Jazz)
Sledge was the easy #1 choice for me. First of all, he's only 22. 2nd of all, he has some of the best PG ratings in the league. And lastly, he still has A potential. His amazing improvement over such a short period of time has been amazing. Although he's only played 1 year in UOSL2, he already boasts 3 awards (ROY as one of them). He's helped the Jazz tremendously while averaging 10.6ppg and 8.7apg. The Jazz didn't miss a beat as they made it to the conference finals. Sledge is perhaps the most untouchable player in UOSL2.
2 - Chris Paul PG 30 6'0'' 183 B B+ A B+ C C (Spurs)
He has made the all-star game every season, and he has been the All-Star MVP 4 times. And he won 4 LEAGUE MVP awards (All in a row). He wins about 3-4 awards every year. Chris is one of UOSL's greatest! He would be the easy #1 choice if it weren't for Sledge. Chris Paul has never averaged under 20ppg. And scoring isn't even his greatest strength! Paul is one of the best passers in the game. He holds a ridiculous 4.7-1 assist-turnover ratio. He's recorded 373 double doubles, and 41 triple doubles! 41! He'll be the most decorated player ever in UOSL2. You can book it now. Expect him to be invited into the HOF very soon.
3 - Ricky Rubio PG 24 6'5'' 203 B- A- A- A C B (Sonics)
I went with Rubio at 3 for a few reasons. First of all, Ricky is still a really young player. At only 24, he's already helped the sonics become a dynasty. Last season he averaged 17.4ppg and 9.7apg on one of the best scoring teams in the league. His upside and steady defense make him one of the hottest players in the league. Rubio already has stud status and we've been hearing that he's going to be even better this year. Good luck trying to pry Rubio from duce and shaun. I think we'll see the Reese/Rubio backcourt for quite a while.
4 - O.J. Mayo PG 26 6'6'' 220 B- A- A- B+ C C (Blazers)
We never get to hear a whole lot about OJ Mayo because he's always on the West Coast. Insane, the blazers GM, is pretty quite and he doesn't give his players a whole lot of pub. But if there's anyone that deserves some publicity on that squad, it's OJ. OJ Mayo took a little while in this league to get going. His first 2 years he struggled to find his shot and turned the ball over, but overtime he developed his PG skills, and has become a solid PG. He's consistently putting up 19-5-9 with only 2 turnovers every year. He had his best year last season with 21.1ppg and 9.3apg. With his great size and great skills, it would be nearly impossible to get Mayo out of P-Town.
5 - Brandon Knight PG 23 6'4'' 195 B+ B+ A- C+ C- C (Mavericks)
Knight has really become a great player in this league. He's only 23, and he is one of the best scoring PGs out there. Last season he put mind-boggling numbers in only his 4th year in the league: 24.1ppg 5.6apg 6.1rpg. He's a do it all PG. What's keeping knight from star status right now is his defense. But overtime, that could come around. Knight is still one dangerous player, and I know allstar is in love with Brandon.
6 - Deron Williams PG 31 6'3'' 214 B B+ A B- D+ D (Celtics)
Like Paul, Deron is a very decorated player. I would boldly say that Deron is the 2nd best PG to ever play in UOSL2. He has career averages of 23.7ppg and 9.4apg. He's very consistent and is still thriving to this day. But Deron's age is finally catching up to him, and he's lost some of his value. However, he's still got game, and I still might call him the 2nd best PG in the league. Deron is truly an amazing player.
7 - Alexey Shved PG 26 6'7'' 185 C+ A- A- A- D+ B (Rockets)
You think a PG with Shved's ratings would be a top 3 most wanted PG. Well first of all there's Paul and Sledge who are not human. and 2nd of all, Shved hasn't really been impressive on the court... Alexey has been extremely hyped up the last few years, but has not lived up to expectations. This year, the bar is set even higher, as Shved was named to be one of the best PGs in the league this upcoming season. That'll be a tough test for him, but with a better supporting cast and and improved game, I think Shved will outdo his last year's stats of 15ppg 7apg and nearly 3topg.
8 - Matías Nocedal PG 23 6'4'' 200 B- B+ A- B C- B (Kings)
He's the tall guy in the picture, btw... Nocedal is an interesting player. He came out strong his rookie year and nearly won rookie of the year. His 2nd year he cam out, but wasn't as impressive as he turned the ball over more averaged nearly a point a game less. But this year, he's hyped up more than ever. He's expected to put up big numbers, and he should too. He's only 23, and he players very good basketball. The Kings got a steal at #7 in the 2013 draft. Matías is the corner-stone of this Kings' team and it's his turn to shine.
9 - John Wall PG 25 6'3'' 185 B- C A B+ C- B (Bulls)
John Wall may not be the most productive PG out there, but at 25 and with the talent he has, it's hard to not but this guy here. John is coming into his contract year, so I expect a big season from him, and I expect some big $$ in the off-season. Through 3 years with the Bulls, John has averaged 12ppg 4rpg and 6.5apg... Last year Wall was expected to have a breakout season. And he was doing great until he got a big injury that kept him out for 60% of the season. He still had pretty impressive numbers with 13ppg and 6.7apg (and 1.8spg on defense). Wall won't put up a whole lot of points, but he's a great PG and plays great defense. Good luck trying to trade for him.
10 - K.C. Ross Miller PG 23 6'2'' 185 C+ B B+ B- C- A (Celtics)
And 10 goes to Miller. He had a ridiculous rookie year averaging 14.4ppg and 7.5apg. And what's even crazier, is that he had an amazing off-season and he should be a big time player. KCRM has crazy upside, and he's already shown he can play. GMs are going to go crazy for this guy. And now that the Celtics have Deron Wililams at the point, I wouldn't be surprised to see KCRM be traded. Get him before he becomes hot.
Just missed out- (In no particular order)
Anthony Crater PG 25 6'1'' 174 C B A- B+ D C (Knicks)
Solid PG who will get the job done for you. Nothing too impressive, though.
Delonte West PG 31 6'4'' 180 C+ B A- B+ D+ C (Wizards)
One of the most underrated PGs every year. He is extremely consistent and has had some solid years in UOSL2. Unfortunately at his age and with the lack of interest in the previous FA pool, his stock has dropped a lot.
T.J. Ford PG 32 5'10'' 169 C+ B A+ A- D C (Pistons)
TJ was very close to cracking this list. But GMs these days prefer the youth over the vets. TJ even got a couple HOF votes last year.
Ty Lawson PG 28 5'11'' 200 B- C+ A B+ C- C (Nuggets)
Another very solid PG. He made the All-star game in the 2009-2010 season.
Brandon Jennings PG 25 6'1'' 190 B- A- A C+ D+ C (Clippers)
Brandon was also a close candidate to make the top 10 most wanted PGs. But his contract and the lack of defense, are enough to turn away GMs.
Darren Collison PG 28 6'1'' 181 C A B+ B+ F+ D (Bucks)
Darren hit UOSL2 in full stride starting his rookie year. Unfortunately he hasn't improved a great amount and his starts are average.
Mike Conley Jr. PG 28 6'1'' 185 C+ C+ A A- D C (Mavericks)
Another PG I think is very underrated. Excluding his rookie year, he's never averaged over 1.7topg (And he's started practically every game of his career). Amazing ast-to ratio 7.5-1.4
Kyle Anderson PG 21 6'4'' 180 B- B+ B- B- C A (Warriors)
I bet I'll get some heat by not putting Kyle on this list, but we haven't seen him play yet, and he may be more fit at SG. So we'll have to play the waiting game to see if Kyle truly deserves to be on this list.
