Clearly though, you must admit that having an assistant GM is kind of; fucking shit. Seriously, as if you'd need one. Nothing wrong with have a constant second opinion on your team. If you're a good commissioner, you can tell the difference between someone being inactive to the point that they need an assistant and aren't actually deserving of a team, and someone who is on top of things and just relies on the assistant for ideas and thoughts. When it comes down to it, who cares? If a GM is active and wants an assistant, good for him. Because Assistant GM's are fun to deal with . . . "I love the deal, but I'll get back to you tomorrow because I have no real say in terms of finalised trades or anything, sorry for wasting your time." |

they are good for writing articles and doing shit like posting dcs or whatever or weight rooms if you can not be there or make it.

having an assistant in general is a big help to the league because you get more actvity and when the assistant gm becomes a real gm in the league, he will have an easy time adjusting.
it isn't really about helping or needing assistance, it's about strengthening the league.

Scott, the reason for asst. GMs is too keep those on the waiting list busying doing something. Especially since we have so many on the waiting list, they'd rather help someone then sit and do nothing.
If you don't want one, STFU and sit your ass down.

You either, a) hire an assistant GM to help run your team, or b) you apply to become somebody's bitch assistant GM. Seriously, what the fuck is up with "hiring" an assistant GM? Could there possibly be a bigger sim league bitch move? What if I need help adjusting my depth chart or making position changes? Then go find a noobie league? I think we've all been GMs long enough to know how to adjust a DC and ask for position changes. |

I think it's very helpful to league. We get to know the GMs on the waiting list a little better, to see if they can make it as GMs.
