No way Arkansas is the second best team in the conference. If McFaggot gets injured (or gets in another fight outside of a club, LMAO) they're done. They've had a lot of turmoil this off-season, and I really don't think they're gonna be as good as they were this past season. Florida lost a lot of guys, and we play them at home. I feel good about our chances in that game. Tennessee lost Meachem, and I don't think they have the WR depth like we have to replace Rice. LSU is definitely a strong team. Pre-season, I agree people will put them ahead of us (and as strong national championship contenders). We have to go to Baton Rouge to play them, so we could lose that games. We don't play Auburn, but I'm not really sure if they're a better team than us. We have so much size and depth at this point, especially on defense, that I think we can beat anybody. everyone lost players man, i don't think anyone was basing predictions off last year. anyhow arkansas is as well-run a team as anyone in the nation, and it just makes almost no sense to put all these teams down for all these random reasons, as if they don't have tons of incomming and growing talent on their rosters comming into this season anyway. LOL, how can you possibly call Arkansas one of the most well-run teams in the nation? Look at all the shit that's been happening there this off-season. Nutt didn't give that coordinator a fair shake, and he alienated the best recruit he's ever gotten (and a potentially All-American QB). They've definitely had some turmoil.

One thing I forgot to mention. Erik Ainge is injured, and I think it may be fairly serious, so that could also significantly handicap Tennessee in 2007.
Sure everyone lost some guys, but certain teams lost a lot more than others. Obviously, we lost Rice, which sucks, but we had very few seniors on last year's team. We have a JC transfer named Larry Freeman that has been getting praised by the coaching staff. Look for him to make a big splash as a potential replacement for Sidney Rice! Our defense should also be nasty this season, and I don't think that can be said for Florida. LSU may very well win the conference, but I'd bet money we finish better than fifth.

What happened to Stephen Garcia? I know he got into some trouble in the offseason... is he expected to redshirt?
Spurrier brought in a hell of a recruiting class this past season.. it will be interesting to see if those guys develop into a national power

What happened to Stephen Garcia? I know he got into some trouble in the offseason... is he expected to redshirt? Spurrier brought in a hell of a recruiting class this past season.. it will be interesting to see if those guys develop into a national power He's suspended from spring practice and any other team activities for the rest of the semester. However, he has been at spring practice every day throwing to wide receivers after practice and being watched by the coaches. He's not suspended by the NCAA, only by Spurrier, so he can push the limits of the suspension a little bit without really being punished any further. He even wore his jersey one day, but Spurrier made him take that off. He will be back with the team after this semester if he can keep himself out of any further trouble. The decision on whether he will play or redshirt this season will be made later on, during summer practice. I'd say the general consensus is that he will be redshirted, but you never know. The suspension was a big blow to Garcia (although he completely deserved/needed it) because he enrolled at USC a semester early for the sole reason of trying to play this season.

Last I heard on Ainge was a meniscus injury, and if that's the case he should have had surgery and be ready to go for summer practice. Has there been something new in his injury case? And also, Arkansas is a mess of a team right now and they'd be in a lot worse turmoil if it wasn't for McFadden (who should get outta there after this year and hit the NFL).
