ducky... just because Santana hasn't warmed up yet doesnt mean he suddenly loses his place as the best pitcher... he should be going for his 4th Cy young(if it wasn't for that BS voting 2 years ago)

He will pitch as many innings as his arm will allow him. That means 20+ wins ;D

Felix may have 20+win talent, but he's on a team that will miss the playoffs...no way he wins 20 games unless he absolutely dominates...and I mean, just completely shuts teams down and has an ERA sub 2.

Um, that is about what he's been doing... As long as we can get 3 or more runs every time he pitches, he should get 20 wins no prob.

Can he do it for a whole season is the question...he's been great in certain starts, but as with every young SP, he's inconsistent...Cy Young Winners are pitchers who consistently dominate...a la Santana.

Hmm, that is true, but the only reason he hasn't done been so consistent in the past, is because 1 Ms offense sucked... 2 The team would limit his the pitches he threw(no sliders...) and his pitch count. So we'll see, but I think he's the real deal.

i think he was actually quoted as saying "give me 1 run and we'll win" or something before the opener. gotta love the attitude at least.
i wouldn't sleep on seattle. i still think beltre and sexson were bad signings but ichiro(contract year) alone can make them better... and ichiro in CF alone makes every pitcher on the team better.
i don't think they're winning the division because of oakland but they might contend, especially of they can count on a great chance if a win every 5 games from felix.

on another subject, i really can not wait to see matsuzaka pitch tommorrow for boston. after all the talk, and what i saw in spring training i seriously think he can be a winner. just a lot of solid pitches and great control behind a good defense... i dunnnnno i just can't wait!
