I prefer low ratings, but for another reason...
It really shows who is a good GM...in those leagues with exaggerated ratings, anyone can have a nice team with some luck, but in a league like UOSL, you really have to be a top GM to have a good team as there are very few great players and top tier players are extremely hard to trade for, not to mention it's tougher to gauge a young player and see how well they will do.

Yeah... High rating leagues gets too boring but they are easier to trade in. Low rating leagues are tougher to trade in cuz only superstars really shine and they barely/never go in a trade. It's even tough to find a decent player in a low rated league but the challenge makes it good. Which i'm considering creating a league pending if i'm lazy or not to make a really deflated/low rated league. where C's and D+'s are superstar type players and F's are average and below average.. Lemme know what u guys think. I think this would be too exaggerated. For the most part I think all FBB players become good defenders too easily. I think thats the major flaw. A guy thats starts with C or C+ defense can become an B+ or A- defender eventually. Hopefully in future versions of the game the potential ratings will more greatly increase certain areas, rather then all areas. Most players develop their strengths more easily then their weaknesses.

Not necessarily, I'd say outside shot is by far the easiest to develop in.
Honestly, defense can be a big hoax....for example, shot blocking plays a HUGE role in the defensive rating.
Someone could have all defensive ratings in the 30's or 40's and if they have a block rating above 75, they'll be a B defense...it's really a fluke.

But shot blocking is probably much more important to success then positional defense. I definitely dont agree with you.

You've got tonight to post our trade. Don't really feel like waiting another month for a decision. Who said I agreed to it? I just asked if you would still be willing to do it. I'm still gauging interest. Go ahead and deal JR if you want. Nobody said you agreed. That's why I said I'm tired of waiting for a decision.

I don't even get what your saying Spence...
Your saying it's really easy to develop defense...I'm saying unless you are a very good shot blocker, it's not...

no offense, but i dont think it makes a league more "fun" to have deflated ratings as opposed to inflated. i mean the ratings in this league are waaaaaaay to low. not comparing the 2 leagues ... but if every player is a little overrated, its fair for everyone Lower ratings makes good role players vital. It takes much more skill to put together a great team if very few superstars are available. However some people can't hack it when they can't just go get a guy with A defense at ever position and B+ or higher scoring ratings etc... agreed, you bring up a good point about the role players. leagues with inflated ratings make great defensive players practically worthless. What's so great about an A+ defender when there's one on every team?

I don't even get what your saying Spence... Your saying it's really easy to develop defense...I'm saying unless you are a very good shot blocker, it's not... Im saying the total defensive grade is the grade that rises the easiest through TCs. So lots of players end up have B+ or A- defensive grades. SO therefore a player with an A or A+ defensive grade just arent as important. I thought you said outside shooting was the grade that rises the easiest, so I disagree with that. And as far as defense being a big hoax, I guess I just didnt understand what you meant.

Gotta agree with Spencer. I've used FBB a lot and on doubt defense usually moves up the most.

it definitely is unrealistic.
does putting defense very low in drafts help that a lot? like if you had mainly C-/C/C+ guys as far as non-obvious defensive stoppers go. or would they just stay ridiculously crappy forever?
course i don't have fbb, and i'm sure individual number ratings go into it and all that stuff, j/w tho.
