Again, you are assuming we are getting the 5th pick based on a rumor? It wont happen. Second, if it did, it will be difficult to spread around minutes for Gordon and Danilo at the 2 and 3 spots since they'll be splitting minutes with Crawful, Richardson, Chandler, and Balkman.
If we somehow manage to acquire a second first round pick we need a center that can run the court and play defense. One draft wont fix the Knicks. The 6th pick can be a crap shot of any player. Knicks need help at every position, trading the 6th for the 10th and 21 for a chance at Love and McGee will give us a front court that run the floor. It also gives us the option of benching Randolph and Curry till they whine and complain out of there way in New York.

in my mock, i had the griz def taking either love or lopez if available. but the more i listened to the radio, the more i'm convinced that their GM (chris wallace) wants a wing player to compliment Gay (either to replace Miller if dealt or be their backup). He's really high on Marc Gasol and considers him a top 10 pick if he were in this draft. So i have a feeling they're gonna make a deal, not so sure it'll be the Lee/Rose/Cardinal thing everyone else is talking about, but i dont think the griz take a big there anymore Bosh/JO sounds sexy, but everyone said Curry/Randolph sounded sexy last year how come no ones talking about ajinca? or jj hickson?

Curry and Randolph sounded awful and I hated the trade, Andy can back me up on that. Randolph brought nothing to the table last off-season that improved in the Knicks deficiencies from the previous season. Also Lee will needs to be resigned either this off-season or next season if the Grizzlies want to benefit off of this trade and considering they are trying to cut down on salary adding a player who will soon finish off his contract and demand a new one, isn't something the Grizzlies are willing to do. Grizzlies made the Pau Gasol trade for money reasons, they wanted to cut down on salary. That trade wont accomplish that, if the Grizzlies really are shopping the 5th pick, they could get better offers.

I never said one draft will fix the new york knicks but you can start to build for the future. Love is a bust IMO, and once randolph is gone I will be happy. At least curry played better when he was not around. I would rather keep the 6th pick. Why is the 6th a crap shoot. Mostly all picks are crap shoots. And if we did have a pick at 10 and 21 I would rather get someone like Rush or Lopez.

I mean his workouts have been tremendous, he played at the highest level in college and succeeded. He is the safest pick in the draft, what you see from him in college is what you get. I'm very skeptic about Danilo keeping up with the SF's around the league on defense. As for Richardson, he does suck, but do you really think D'Antoni wont give him chance to succeed like he did with the Suns? We need to draft BPA unfortunately if Mayo doesn't drop we can't afford to draft a wingman if that is the BPA and I have questions regarding both Gordon and Danilo on defense and that is something we need to improve on. Sixth is a crap shoot because of the many choices that will be available we will end up regretting drafting someone who played better than the pick we make at 6, whether it be Anthony Randolph, Westbrook, Batum, DeAndre Jordan, etc. If we make that trade and draft Love and McGee it could push Curry and Randolph for a marginal amount of good minutes, because if they perform worse than them, neither will be in the NBA much longer.

Unfortunately everyone who plays in college does not succeed in the nba, and I feel as the kevin love will not be that great in the nba. He is a poor defender, can barely jump, not the best post player and will see a lot of tough match ups down low. I do not see this guy as being a great player. The knicks are not the suns, richardson will never have that success again. We need everything what is wrong with drafting a wing man, gotta start somewhere. this team needs a complete over haul though we are stacked at the 3, we can make some moves. I have not heard about this trade you speak off, I doubt it happens.

blazers got that pick for cash? amazing. knicks should of did that. yep, that's how we got Sergio Rodriguez 2 years ago. Now it sounds like we'll be trading Jack+#13+2nd rounder for #10. Sounds like we want DJ Augustin.

And we don't give up too much to move up and get our guy. Pritchard is a fantastic GM.
