wow big trade. good trade for the pistons getting a stud pg who has a few years left in him i think.
They give up some defense but I think they have enough depth to cover up the hole edwards leaves. Spurs get good value here. So good trade all around. Pistons should be favorites.

it doesnt make the pistons worse, but i wouldnt have bothered making this trade. Shot blockers are always needed. the pistons are old and Taco is only 26 and gets 14 boards and 4.5 blocks per game. Agosto is a damn good PG too. Now with Rubio and Favors contracts the Pistons are going to be pretty terrible for a while in a couple years. If they lose Stephenson in FA next year  then they are really fucked. There is no way Rubio was getting offers anywhere close to that. Guys like Art Kimber and Laquinton Ross are just as good as Rubio and were not getting offers anywhere near that and they are both younger with way better contracts. Fantastic trade for Spurs. |

I absolutely love this trade for the Spurs as well. Sure Rubio leads the league in scoring, but who gives a shit? He is old and on a big contract. While it does give the Pistons some fire power, they basically gave up two great players for a superstar. Agosto and Taco are young and once again Favors and Rubio are teamed up with monster contracts. Spurs get fantastic value here.
