See, now this bugs me. While I would never CPU my DC, I don't see what the point of banning it is? Sometimes the CPU DC isn't half-bad...hell, in another league I'm in, one of the top GM's CPU's it and has been a top team for 3 years.
It's not harming anyone, why get rid of it?

Because a GM should be able to run the whole team. That's like having the computer run your FA for you... Why keep it? GMs here are intelligent enough to do their own DC... |

True, but honestly, no one except Scott has a problem with this. Who are we to tell a team what DC to use? They should have the right to want the CPU to do it if they want.

i'm not in favor of forcing 60-70% of gm's to blindly put charts in and what i mean by that is i really think most people don't know what they're doing with tactics. they think they do but they don't.
would i ever comp? hell no. it's not very benificial but if somebody really wants to do it, i don't see why it's a big deal.

No doubt about it. This should be a no brainer.
No point in CPUing. The only thing you see is who they make the starters anyway. You don't see the pace/focus/trap/press and you don't see who the options are.

But why not just do it yourself? heck i dunno, but if somebody feels as if they want to use CPU, i don't see the big harm in it. personally i'd never use cpu because i actually enjoy strategy more than i do trading. but not everyone feels that way. |

But still, it's kinda like training wheels, I think people here are good enough to do their own DCs, and if not, tuff luck, they'll figure it out. Me for one, I suck at DCs, I think that's why my team suck, but I'm not going to go out comping my DC, I'm going to try to figure it out on my own, cuz that's what a good GM will do. |
