1. Rudy Mbemba PG 6'5'' 188 20 C B B+ C+ C A
Mbemba was the clear cut top selection is this draft IMO. Obvious pick here since Mbemba is one of those Point Guards who are rare to find in these kind of drafts. Not only he was the best PG prospect, but he was also the BEST prospect in this draft. Cleveland gets a perfect player they can build around with in the future.
2. Demetris Foughtner SF 6'8'' 220 20 C+ C+ B- C B A (from Charlotte)
Solid pick here since Foughter was rated the 2nd best prospect in this draft behind Mbemba. Utah loves versatile players and Foughter should fit right into their system.
3. John Iruko C 7'3'' 297 19 C+ D- D- B- B+ A (from Minnesota)
Great pick here since Iruko was the best prospect big in this draft IMO. Young talented centers like Iruko are rare to find and Toronto felt he was the obvious selection here. Iruko should become the future starting center for them. He has the size and skills to become a great big someday.
4. Rashaan Hollman SG 6'6'' 225 20 B+ C+ C- C- C- A
Although many thought this was a reach, Toronto felt that Hollman was the best SG prospect in this draft despite being rated a bit lower. Toronto loves inside scoring two guards who can dominate the post at will and they believe Hollman can provide that from day 1. This pick could backfire, but Toronto felt that Hollman's talent was too good to pass up despite being projected to go a bit lower.
5. Virgil Parker C 6'10'' 265 21 B D+ C- C+ C+ A
Orlando has a history of drafting busts but I think this was a nice selection here. Parker was the 2nd best center prospect in this draft. However, Parker is also a risk because of the problems he had faced before declaring for this draft. This pick could backfire like the rest of W's picks, but Parker may turn into a solid big, IF he gets his act together.
6. Mangisto Arop PF 6'11'' 245 20 C D+ C- B B A (from Milwaukee)
Great pick here since Arop was probably the 2nd best big in this draft after Iruko. Arop fills a PF need in Seattle and should provide immediate help on defense and rebounding.
7. Channing Doerman SF 6'9'' 235 21 B B- C- B- C+ B
Philly gets a player who was the most UOSL ready in this draft. Doerman can come right in and start from day 1. Doerman and Overlander could become a nice scoring duo together. Safe pick here.
8. Kirill Slepuhka PG 5'8'' 165 19 B B C C C- A
Great selection here since Slepuhka was ranked higher than some of the guys selected before him. Slepuhka could turn out into a steal at this pick. He might be the best offensive talent in this draft. Although his size scared many GM's, Slepuhka should provide immediate scoring and prove doubters wrong that size doesn't matter in this league.
9. Amile Jefferson PF 6'10'' 238 21 B C+ D+ C C+ A
Nice selection here since Jefferson provides a need in Boston. He was the reigning Big East player of the year and he comes in with a lot of hype. Hopefully the hype turns into great results.
10. Siyani Chambers PG 6'3'' 200 21 C C B- B C- A (from Spurs)
Another solid pick for Seattle here since Chambers is rated the 2nd best Point Guard behind Rudy Mbemba. Just like their previous pick (Arop), Chambers should also provide immediate help on defense for them.
11. Julius Wilkins C 6'9'' 242 20 C C- C+ B- C+ A
Wilkins should provide a unique skill set in Memphis. Although he was rated a bit lower in this draft, Wilkins has the upside and potential to become a nice big for Memphis. If he pans out, Memphis may have a nice duo upfront who can do many things on the court.
12. Brooklyn Nets - Elliot Watts C 6'11'' 253 22 B+ C D+ C C+ B (from Houston)
The Nets lacked a center and this pick was solely based on that. Watts should provide immediate scoring up front and that is pretty much what the Nets are getting.
13. Mitchell Drew SG 6'4'' 189 21 C+ A- C C+ C A (from Minnesota)
Nice selection here since Drew fills a SG need for Miami. Drew should provide instant scoring for them.
