This is Jeremy Blumstein, ESPN reporter for "The Hot Seat". I had a chance to get a few moments with GM CC of the Memphis Grizzlies.
Thanks for your time CC.
J: What do you expect from your team this year?
CC: I expect to make the Playoffs this year after all the changes I have made to this team. I went through lottery two straight years but now I want to take this team to the next level.
J: Are you happy with the team's performance thusfar and
if not, what changes can be made?
CC: Right now I feel satisfied with my team, but not too satisfied since we've been playing inconsistent the last two or three sims. However, I don't expect any big changes since we aren't playing bad at all. Its all a matter of the team gelling together and adjusting to different game strategies each sim to see what will work well or not. If changes had to be made, it would only be minor.
J: What team would you consider the biggest threat in the West?
CC: Definitely the Lakers. They've been playing really well since the start of the season and I really believe they'll go very deep in the Playoffs.
J: Whose your sleeper team in the West?
CC: I have to say my team and the Portland Trailblazers. No one expected our teams to be high in the Playoff seedings right now so I really think the West should be more aware of us.
J: Do you see any GM's on the hot seat right now, or close to being fired?
CC: Right now I feel every gm is doing their thing so no I wouldn't call anyone out right now.
J: Out of the people on the waiting list, who would make the best GM right now?
CC: I would have to say crazymike since he brings UOSL experience and has been around the boards a lot. I'm sure one day he'll get a job again.
J: Finally, #1, what teams do you see winning the East and West, #2, who will be the MVP at season's end, #3, GMOY, and #4, who will win the UOSL2 title?
CC: Toronto will win the east while the Lakers will win the west. My pick for MVP would be LeBron James since he's been playing ridiculous the whole season and his team is one of the best right now. The GMOY would either be me or Scott. As for the UOSL2 title, I really think Toronto will win it this year after what they have shown in the Playoffs last season and their success has carried on to this season.
J: Thank you CC, you are off the hot seat.
CC: No problem, thanks for having me.
