Welcome again to another weekly addition of UOSL2 power rankings. Today, we will go into the bottom 10 teams in UOSL2 up to this point.
10. Washington Wizards- wasn’t the wizards in my top 10? YES GO FUCK YOURSELF. Nah, just messing, but seriously, it was the start of the season, crazy shit happens. The wizards are not that good, and in the East, its doesn’t look good if you are trying to make the playoffs but you can’t, ya dig. They are a great young squad, with a nice future, they may be able to sneak into the playoffs but it will be a tough challenge for this team, they need to stay consistent, they can dominate the Atlantic in a few seasons though.
9. New York Knicks- Another young squad with a pretty solid future ahead for them. Kevin Love seems like he can be a dominating offensive big men that any team would love to have, his defense is not half bad either so he will be solid. Other young prospects in Boynton, Thomas, Crittenton, that make for a nice 1,2 3 punch that will be deadly soon enough. I expect good things from this team in the future, just not ready yet.
8. Toronto Raptors- This team had loads of potential to be great, but it seems like their gm has fallen of the planet. Bizzle has been a bit inactive lately and the Raptors have suffered, poor raptors. Boozer, AI, VC and Nash make a pretty nasty team though a bit older, with some good depth and a good shot blocking big, this team could be in the playoffs. Too bad.
7. Phoenix Suns- Another team with high hopes in the start of the season, but have just not seem to click. Amare Stoudemire is a beast, but besides that the scoring is really not there. They do not have a real second option; Jackson seems to be playing well, but then it deeps off from there. Plus their fifth man seems a bit weak, expect the Suns to be a lotto team this year, but come back next year to surprise a few.
6. Los Angeles Clippers- A pretty solid team that just has gm problems. Their gm has been in and out lately and that has hurt this clipper organization. Luol Deng is doing the best he can with who surrounds him, but its not enough. Some of these guys need a few more years, they could be a fun team to watch. They got to start looking for some big men though, damn they need some.
5. Miami Heat- A great looking young squad that has just not developed yet. They will be really deadly in a few seasons, Samuels and Beasley to name a couple young studs up and coming, should be able to lead this team. They look like they are headed in the right direction; to bad they don’t have their pick this year? Could of used it.
4. Boston Celtics- A team that is starting to go through the rebuilding process. They have a couple of things going for them, Gerald Green and Sidney to make a nice duo. Add six first round picks this up coming draft and the Celtics have something to look forward to, something real nice, they could build one of the best young squads or just have a complete bust team, well find out soon enough.
3. Detroit Pistons- Another team just starting to rebuild. Nothing really going for this team just yet, they have some nice picks, including their own, too bad they could not ship off more talent and try to get a top 1 or 2 pick. They could use a great player to build around. Well see whom they land in this draft and how they prepare for the off-season, they will be a bottom dweller for a few seasons. Have fun Detroit.
2. Seattle Sonics- A young squad that has been hyped up by his gm. He predicts they will dominate the west in a few short seasons. I see know reason why they could not. DeMarcus Cousins, Henry, James, Gordon, Lee, and Shved are a great staff of youth and vets to compete for the playoffs. Plus another potential top two pick this draft. Team is looking good, watch out for the sonics.
1. Portland Trailblazers- By far the worst record in the league, they have one thing going for them right now, that wonderful pick of theirs. By the time this team is ready to compete I do not know the age of Aldridge and Roy, but it may be a good move to ship these guys out for youth and picks. If still want to compete around them, that is a different story, they are still young and pretty nasty. Blazers can do many things here; they just have to figure out what that exactly is.
That is the end of this addition of UOSL2 weekly; I’m your host Dan Basone, till next time.
