Saltalamacchia might end up being the best hitting catcher in this upcoming decade. Andrus played in the futures game, and although I don't know much about him, you can say that's a good sign.

For this to be good move for braves, its a must for them to re-sign texiera. Saltalamacchia looked good from the brief spurts I saw.

i'm glad he didn't get traded to an AL contender, and that includes boston because of what they might have given up to fill something they didn't need to.
andrus should be good, obviously he's quite advanced right now. i still think adjusting to the majors is the hardest thing though and there are no guarantees.

I don't see Tampa Bay being able to keep Kazmir anyway... they'll probably have to for them to make any kind of progression in the future (pitching is really holding them back). He's going to command a lot of dollars. But I think the Colon deal was worse, considering how far it has set back the Nationals. |
