NOTES
A Theo Pinson Jr.(North Carolina) C 19 6-10 245lbs B- D+ D C B A FR
This big body from North Carolina has a pretty nice game. He's got good strength and has great jumping ability to grab lots of rebounds. However, his defense is pretty bad, and he lacks any defensive presence. With his jumping ability, you'd think he'd get a lot of blocked shots, but that isn't the case. Theo is too slow to play SF or PF, so you have yourself an undersized Center. His scoring game is coming around and he should have a pretty well developed game by the time he hits his prime in uosl2. In aar's mock draft, he gave a Al Jefferson comparison, which I think is a fair comparison. Theo is an Al Jefferson with potential to be a better defender.
A John Allen(Texas) C 21 7-0 255lbs C+ C- D B+ B+ B JR
I'm not going to talk to much about Allen, because you can all guess what he's good and bad at. He has great strength which helps him pull down boards and play hard-nose defense. He's a great post defender, one of the best in the class. And an average shot blocker. (1.0 - 1.5 bpg). His scoring isn't there, and may never be there. He's got bad handles and is a step behind a lot of people when it comes to quickness. Overall Allen has all the tools to be great. You should get a solid starter for 10 years with Allen.
A- Zach Peters(Oklahoma) C 22 6-11 250lbs B D+ B- C B B
I think Peters is getting way overlooked in this draft. Again, aar gave a comparison of Chris Webber. But I see more of a Vlade Divac in Peters. Zach has great strength, and can light it up inside. He also has great technique in rebounding and uses his body well to set himself up for tons of boards. He's surprisingly quick for his size and has a great passing ability. Like a lot of guys, his defense is slacking behind. The only thing holding Peters back from being a top pick is his potential. But maybe he actually has A potential? It's difficult to scout Zach, so it would be a good idea to invite him to a camp.
B Dylan Wedlock(Cincinnati) C 20 6-9 260lbs C D+ D C- B+ A SO
Too bad Wedlock can't play defense, right? Dylan is perhaps the strongest player in the draft. With his fatass body, Dylan can grab any rebound at will. Unfortunately he's so limited at rebounding and defense, that even with good potential, he may never be much of a threat. A high risk player, with a nice upside. It'll be interesting to see where Dylan gets picked.
