Talmud is bullshit and has Nothing to do with Jesus. Just a bunch of pharisees with commentaries. Get that shit out of here. I believe in the Bible and only the Bible. What have I said that conflicts with the Old Testament? I thought the talmud was a law book with people debating on specific laws? Exactly, it has nothing to do with Jesus or what I believe in. |

What if "God" rewards my doubt of his existance with heaven and punishes you for not using the brain he gave you and blindly believing in his existance because of a man made book. I'll be sitting pretty in "Heaven", while your ass will be in hell. What if you take a moderate belief and let people live their own lives without imposing your beliefs on others and I go to Heaven and God punishes someone who just want to make arguments just to start debates by sending them to hell. What was the point of this thread anyway? I don't see the problem with arguing about beliefs, if you do than you don't have to read or pay attention to my posts. My hope is to to help people understand that the idea of a "God" just isn't logical. The point of this thread was to impose my beliefs on others. |

The Talmud is the Jewish text that has shaped Jewish culture, tradition and belief in order to apply religious belief to a changing world. It is the text that has preserved Jewish belief and defines the religious practices and customs of the most humanistic, philanthropic and moral society the world knows. Ducky, the people you dismiss as 'pharisees' are Rabbis, which is Hebrew for teachers. And that's all they. Men interested in preserving and interpreting religious texts to save an exiled people. You are an embarrassment to the human mind. |

The reason I don't think religion should be shed is that I'm a particularist. Every culture/race/nation/religion or combination thereof has its own qualities, its own language or art or belief and as long as they are just, I accept them. That's why I take objection to the idea that you need to accept one religion to go to heaven. What kind of God would be so egotistical to have the following policy: regardless of the kind of person you are and the things you do, you will not go to heaven if you don't accept me. Shit, probably the same kind of God that acknowledges slavery and denounces homosexuality. Not my kinda God. Very nice point. |

It's bullshit? Do you know what Christianity thinks of the Jews? Do you know what Paul said about the Jews? Do you know that Jesus was Jewish? You want to dismiss this as though Jesus was some white Christian in Oregon who had no regard for Jewish life. He was a fucking Jew. Your religion is a fucking variation of Judaism, and you want to say the Talmud is bullshit? The Talmud is a fucking continuation of the Old Testament and its laws, you invalid. |

Many of his disciples wrote in their accounts that Jesus ascended into heaven. None of the accounts conflict with each other. However, I think Matthew didn't. I think Luke, John, and Paul saw it. I could of sworn that the evangelists weren't even the true disciples. So what written accounts are you talking about? |

Also read the bible closer Ducky about Jews and Hebrews. They are gods chosen people and it is said in the bible a few places that since they are his chosen people they go to heaven. They were forgiven.
