Maybe you should check how long the NBN has lasted. I've been in the NBN SINCE DAY ONE. I'm not the reason for a league not lasting. I can guarantee you I'm as active as anyone here. Ducky will even vouch for that one. I can guarantee you I won't be the reason for this league not lasting a long time (if it somehow doesn't). Frankly, it's an indictment on the UOSL1 GMs that the league only last eleven seasons. That's fucking nothing. The current version of the NBN has been running since January 2005. because that group is not as sensitive as UOSL. i mean honestly, everyone is using that as an insult, relating it to pussy. but it is what it is... you don't mesh well with this group because they are sensitive and care about what people say. that's just how UOSL is. you fit in with NBN, good for you. exactly... |

Wow. It's going to be hard to reason with you if you're going to flat out make shit up. The NBN guys are the only guys who came into UOSL2 with any kind of complex. You know you're on everyone's nerves. Just calm it down instead of constantly lashing out. What I said is definitely true. Guys were bitching about us getting in the league instead of some of the BBS guys they knew. Then there were other posts about the BBS guys being the best group of GMs in all of sim and how they should hold more clout. You're making things up by lying about the truth. It's not BBS vs. NBN. Nobody bitched about any BBS guys not getting in; the only thing that bugged me was that Ducky promised UOSL GMs spots and then did not come through on that. Those guys were active in UOSL, and they didn't deserve to lose their spots because of a restart. Fair enough, no? Nobody said any BBS GMs should hold more clout than NBN. Sure, I'd argue that priority should go to UOSL originals, and that they should have some clout, but that was to tell Ducky I was frustrated. I don't feel particularly entitled, I was just fighting for guys who deserved to keep their spots. As for BBS guys being the best in sim leagues: don't recall anyone making the statement, and I don't think it's at all relevant. You're dealing with UOSL guys, not BBS guys. Nobody was fighting for BBS guys get spots over NBN guys. |

But Scott you do have a tendency to piss off other GMs. And maybe these BBS/UOSL gms aren't used to it. Where the NBN GMs have lived with your shit from day 1... There's no reason for people to get pissed off. I'm incredibly active. I'll talk to you on AIM or PM most any time of the day. I won't miss drafts, FA, or DCs. If some people don't like my views, so be it. The world is full of different people. I'm not the one starting these threads. Take a look through this thread. I only started posting once you blamed things on me. Maybe you need to re-direct the blame there, Ducky. |

That's great for you...fact is though, UOSL1 lasted over a year, which is damn long in terms of sims...most don't even last two-three months. We lasted that long because we had a group of GM's who got along for the most part and didn't bash each other personally even if they disagreed. You can make fun as much as you want...it was a damn fun league. If you want to be an ass, that's fine, but that's not what made UOSL such a great sim, and that's why Ducky made UOSL2...to make it an even better & more enjoyable sim...if he wants to have it with NBN & BBS guys, that's his call, but we didn't come here to get bashed and to deal with this crap. |

It's a different league with a different core. That's what Duce is saying. Nobody is particularly in their comfort zone right now, and things are so new that it's probably a good idea to be generally easygoing and agreeable. Here's to hoping you can acknowledge and respect that, because if the fighting ensues, it will only be because you're too stubborn to lighten up while the league gets settled.

I have no problem being easy going and agreeable if we can just run a normal sim league. If nobody calls me out, I'll try to do the same. I do think there should be a rule against CPU'ing DCs though. That's almost unforgivable. Anyone that has ever talked to me on AIM at least a few times can attest that you'll have no problem communicating with me or having a decent conversation. Some people have really over-reacted.

You are active and seem to be a good GM, but bashing people and spamming the boards with nonsense isn't needed. If you can stop bashing people and stop doing this BBS-NBN argument nonsense(which apparently you have), we shouldn't have a problem. |
