2026 UOSL2 Draft Grades
#1 Denver Nuggets
Cameron Cornelius PF 6'10'' 235 21 C B C- B B- A
Denver needed a big man real bad and Cornelius was the right choice. He should become a stud on both offense and defense. This was a great pick for Denver but many thought they should of went with Thornwell who was the obvious #1.
Draft Grade: A
#2 Toronto Raptors
Sindarius Thornwell SG 6'7" 220 B+ C- C+ B- C+ A
Raptors had Thornwell at the very top of their draft list and fortunately he had fell to them. He has a great inside game and could do everything else but shoot outside. Many believed Thornwell was the consensus #1 so Toronto gets a better grade.
Draft Grade: A+
#3 New Orleans Hornets
Hassan Whiteside PF 6'8'' 230 19 C+ C- D+ A- B B
This pick here created confusion on who to pick. But after some thought, the Hornets went with Hassan Whiteside who should become a shot blocking stud. He should provide immediate defense from day 1.
Draft Grade: A-
#4 Utah Jazz
Jerron Love PG 6'3'' 195 20 B- C C+ A- D+ A
Great pick here since Utah needed a young point guard for the future once Tavon Sledge is moved. The Jazz are in a rebuilding process so this was the perfect pick for them.
Draft Grade: A+
#5 Orlando Magic
Wolfgang Novogratz SF 7'0'' 235 21 C+ A- C- C+ C+ A
Nice pick here since but Orlando are now stuck with a glut of small forwards. W's only hope is that Wolfgang doesn't bust like the rest of his top draft picks. This pick was probably based on best available player so I'll give him credit for that.
Draft Grade: B+
#6 Chicago Bulls
Daquise Andrews SG 6'4'' 212 21 C+ B C+ B- C A
I really like this pick since Andrews already looks good entering the draft. He looks like he'll become a nice scorer and ball handler. I think he'll be a very solid player here.
Draft Grade: A-
#7 Milwaukee Bucks
Greg McClinton SF 6'10'' 218 20 B C+ C C- B- A
I had the Bucks selecting McClinton on my mock so this was the right pick for them. They needed a wing for the future after dealing Pierre Wright. McClinton is very tall and could be a mismatch nightmare against smaller wings.
Draft Grade: A
#8 San Antonio Spurs
Ethan Telfair PG 6'1'' 185 19 C+ C+ B C+ C- A
Boom or bust pick here. But looking at his ratings and age, I think Telfair will become a nice player. This pick may be worth the risk in the lotto, however, there is still a chance this pick may backfire.
Draft Grade: B+
#9 San Antonio Spurs
John Parham C 7'4'' 245 21 B- D C- C B+ A
I really like this pick since Parham was the best center in the draft. With that said, this pick here deserves a better grade than their previous selection.
Draft Grade: A
#10 Philadelphia 76ers
Morgan Jackson PG 5'9'' 175 22 C B B B- C- B
Sixers needed a Point Guard BAD and this was the right selection for them. I had them selecting Jackson in my mock draft so Ray gets a good grade.
Draft Grade: A
#11 Portland Trailblazers
Shelden Matalon SG 6'6'' 210 20 B C+ C- B+ C B
Portland needed a shooting guard and Matalon was the right pick. He should become a nice scorer and defender in this league. I had him projected at this pick here too.
Draft Grade: A
#12 Seattle Sonics
Braxton Ogbueze PF 7'1'' 272 20 C+ D D+ C+ B A
Seattle was set at every position but I thought they needed better depth at PF so Ogbueze was the right pick. I had him projected #12 on my mock draft too. But since there was no GM around, Seattle gets less credit.
Draft Grade: A-
#13 Houston Rockets
Billy Ray Clark PG 6'0'' 200 21 C B- B B- D+ B
I had Clark projected to this pick here as well. The Rockets needed a Point Guard after dealing away Jevon Thomas. Clark has a UOSL2 ready game like Morgan Jackson, although slightly less talented, but he still should produce immediately.
Draft Grade: A
#14 Detroit Pistons
Tristan Brown SF 6'8'' 230 22 C C C+ B+ B- B
I guess this pick was made based on best available but they could of taken a risk on a point guard or a big man. They currently have two young wings on their team and now they've added another one.
Draft Grade: B-
#15 Phoenix Suns
Kwan Moore PG 6'4'' 205 22 B C B C- C- A
I really like this pick here since I believe Moore will become a solid Point Guard in this league. He already has a nice inside game to go along with his nice ball handling/passing. The Suns also needed a younger point guard.
Draft Grade: A
#16 Miami Heat
Hunter Robinson C 6'10'' 252 19 C+ C C- B C+ A
Miami needed a center and I believe Robinson was worth the risk. He is very young and could be a steal at this pick. However, there is still a chance he may not pan out.
Draft Grade: A-
#17 Cleveland Cavaliers
Jason Sebak SF 6'6'' 230 21 C- B+ C B+ C B
The Cavs bring in a solid outside shooter and defender. Sebak already looks UOSL2 ready. Cavs also needed another wing. Nice pick here.
Draft Grade: B+
#18 Chicago Bulls
C.J. Barksdale C 6'9'' 260 22 B C- D+ B- C+ B
Okay pick here. Barksdale may become a solid big man who can come off the bench or start but he is undersized.
Draft Grade: B
#19 Sacramento Kings
Luke Davis C 7'0'' 255 23 C D D C A A
I like this pick here since Davis is a beast on the boards already. Very rare for a big man prospect to have an A rebounding rating. I think the rest of his game can be worked on too. He should provide depth at center for Sac Town.
Draft Grade: A-
#20 Denver Nuggets
Malik Teal SG 6'5'' 205 19 B- C+ C C C A
Low risk/reward pick here and I thought it was worth the selection. Teal looks very raw but does have potential and some upside.
Draft Grade: B
#21 Denver Nuggets
Montez Singleton SF 6'11'' 228 19 C+ C B- C C A
Risky pick here since Singleton was charged for assault before entering the draft.
Draft Grade: C+
#22 Utah Jazz
Austin Dasent SF 6'7'' 225 21 C+ C+ C+ C- C A
Utah loves versatile players and Dasent looks like one. However, the only thing that is holding him back is his defense. Risky pick here but it may be worth it after a couple of years.
Draft Grade: B-
#23 Miami Heat
Dylan Grunwold SG 6'3'' 197 22 C A- B- C C- B
Grunwold could become a nice backup combo guard who can shoot and handle the ball. Nice pick here.
Draft Grade: B
#24 Orlando Magic
T.J. Warren PG 6'7'' 198 19 C C B- C C+ A
This pick was made solely based on potential and position. But I really like this pick since Warren has good upside and could be a steal if he pans out. Worth the selection at this pick.
Draft Grade: B+
#25 New Jersey Nets
Wayne Hill PF 6'10'' 260 22 B C- C- B- C B
Hill has very good size for his position who can score and play defense. Solid pick.
Draft Grade: B+
#26 Toronto Raptors
Joshuah Pasadan PF 6'10'' 233 22 C C- D+ B- C+ A
Nice pick here since Pasadan comes in with solid d and rebounding. He was also a player who moved up on the draft boards and Raptors snatched him up here. He should be serviceable off the bench.
Draft Grade: B+
#27 Portland Trailblazers
Lewis Miller PG 6'1'' 185 22 C B B- C C- B
Meh. I do not like this pick at all. They should went with the best available player and Miller wasn't one of them.
Draft Grade: D
#28 New Jersey Nets
Jabriel Garner PF 6'9'' 240 21 C B- B+ C B- C
Solid pick for the Nets. Garner can shoot and handle the ball for his position. However, his defense is awful. Maybe best suited at small forward, who knows.
Draft Grade: B+
#29 Indiana Pacers
Anthony Cabbagestalk SG 6'5'' 218 22 C- B+ C- B+ C- C
I love this pick here since Cabbagestalk was the best player available that teams have passed on throughout the first round. The kid already can shoot and play d. I think he'll end up as a steal.
Draft Grade: A-
