Note: I know I have a poll but please don't worry about voting, feel free, but this is being used as a buyout for a player and will have no bearing on any player's rankings. I am new here and I did not realize that you couldn't use them as deul purpose. Voting would, however, allow me to better adjudicate my writing and improve upon it in the future.
1. Denver Nuggets - Rahmir Jefferson SF 6'10'' 225 20 B B B- B- C+ A
Denver hit the real jackpot with one of the most anticipated player to enter the league in a long time. Called the Next Labron James, can he live up to the billing?
2. Utah Jazz -Blaise Mbargorba C 6'11'' 230 21 B C C- B C+ A
The ping pong balls really helped out this team this year. With a 12% chance of getting any one lottery spot, this team landed the second pick. They chose the best big man prospect on the board in Mbargorba. His defence is NBA ready but despite his size, some question his desire to grind out the tough points and power down the boards.
3. Orlando Magic - Jarri Williams PG 6'6'' 198 21 B- B- B- B- C A
With the third pick, the Magic selected the last of teh big three left on the board Jarri looks like a do everything players that will last in the league for a long time. But with the magic's history of drafting bust, will the streak continue? Jarri looks like a young Billups, but will he have the same career, only time will tell
4. Milwaukee Bucks - Alphonso Roosevelt PF 6'10'' 255 22 B+ C- C- B- B- B
With the fourth pick, Milwaukee selected Roosevelt. The power forward's game is similar to Al Jefferson and should be a solid, yet unspectacular, player for many years to come. In such a draft loaded with studs at the top, the Bucks were hurt the worst. Losing out on such a lottery and being bounced out will hurt, only time will tell if it will be fatal.
5. Phoenix Suns - Raguis Harris SG 6'5'' 215 22 B- C+ C B+ C- A
With the fifth pick the suns chose to deepen thier backcourt and selected the top shooting guard on the board. His all around game is solid and could very well develop into an elite defender before too long.
6. Miami Heat - Ferrakohn Hall SF 6'9'' 220 21 B C+ C- B- C A
With sixth pick Miami took the safe choice and took a solid player in Hall. THough he may never become a star, he could become a very solid starter before too long.
7. Utah Jazz - Carson Desrosiers C 7'2'' 280 19 C D C B B- A
In their second lottery pick, the Jazz once again selected to strengthen thier frontcourt corps and selected teh second best center this draft in Desrosiers. Though he has not much of an offensive game at this point, he reminds me of a young Big-Z in his size and defensive abilities.
8. San Antonio Spurs - Jasen Eddie PF 7'0'' 232 21 B- C+ D+ C B A
With thier second straight mid lottery pick , the spurs selected another big man in Eddie. He is a real risk/reward. He has no ability to handle the ball down low ans his defense is suspect, but he could very well turn into a very balanced scoring threat down the line.
9. Golden State Warriors - Richard Romeo III SG 6'4'' 197 21 C+ A C C+ C B
Golden state with thier ninth pick took probably the purest shooter in this draft. Very hard to judge at this point in his development, he could become ray allen, he could become JJ Reddick.
10. Toronto Raptors - Jalon White PG 5'11'' 185 21 C B B+ C+ D+ B
White brings a very pure style in his approach to the game. He can spot up the outside shot and has very good passing abilities, he could become the purest point guard in this class. Compares favorably to a young derron williams
11. Chicago Bulls -Michael Gbinije PF 6'8'' 220 19 B C B- C- C+ A
In any other draft he very may have going top 6. He has exceptional body control and is an amazing athlete for his size, excelent pick for this draft positions, maybe the second best pick given the draft position and the player acquired.
12. Portland Trailblazers - Mario Nixon PG 6'2'' 212 19 B- C+ B C- C- A
Nixon is a player I would quantify as a combo guard. His defense is suspect, but he is a project pick and for this point in the lottery, he could be a very good aquisition. Jarred Bayless would be an apt equlivant.
13. Boston Celtics - Tyquan Moody SG 6'8'' 223 19 B+ C- C- B- C A
The last team out in the Boston Celtics chose to select Moody. His attitude has be questioned but his game is favorably compared to Brandon Roy in his ability to penetrate and score at will. He is a good athlete, a risk/reward pick at this point
