Top players in UOSL3 under the age of 23 (10-20)
Number #11 – Tony Mitchell
Ratings: B C D+ B B+ A
Age: 22 yrs old
Stats (preseason): 9.3ppg, 7.1rpg, 1.2bpg
Age: 22 yrs old
Stats (preseason): 9.3ppg, 7.1rpg, 1.2bpg
He came into the league quite raw last year, but possessed amazing athleticism and power. His physical attributes along with his ability to rebound were the only sure things for Mitchell coming into the draft. This last TC showed that he is ready to take the next step. His role on offense is expected to expand more this year… Unfortunately he didn’t play in the preseason so we’ll just have to wait to see how much he has improved in the off-season. Either way, he still has a lot of growing to do and I’m confident that with play as the GM he will become a great player (aka dump IT’s into him).
Number #12 – Rasheed Sulaimon
Ratings: B B C B+ C- A
Age: 20 yrs old
Stats (preseason): 15.2ppg, 4.8rpg, 2.3spg
Age: 20 yrs old

His notes, scrimmages, and ratings somehow led me to the belief that he was going to be a bust. Glad that I was proved wrong because this is the type of player that saga needs to build his franchise around. Sulaimon has a shot at being ROTY and could average close to 20ppg. A key thing to keep an eye on is his turnovers. Actually, it doesn't look like his turnovers are that bad. His C handles are most likely because of a terrible passer rating (2.3apg in 32.4mpg). Now that I've gotten that image of him as a bust out of my mind, he looks really nice. It is hard to find a player among this list that plays all aspects of offense and defense very well. Going to be exciting to see how he progresses, but he could end up as one of the best SG's in the league. Exciting times for the Spurs!

Number #13 – Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
Ratings: B B- C A- C+ B
Age: 21 yrs old
Stats (preseason): 20.2ppg, 8.1rpg, 2.4apg, 1.9spg
Age: 21 yrs old
Stats (preseason): 20.2ppg, 8.1rpg, 2.4apg, 1.9spg
He made solid progression over his rookie season with the Hawks. He started off averaging around 14-15ppg and ended the season averaging nearly 20ppg. If it wasn’t for the insane play of Shabazz I think the ROTY award would have belonged to this multi-talented player. The thing that sets him apart is the fact that he can score from inside and the outside and plays good defense, while rebounding well for a shooting guard. Don has done a tremendous job putting in the work to improve KCP’s game and it has really paid off. There is no doubt that he will make a few all-stars, but can he take the next step to become a star in the league? I’m not sure the potential is there, but we will see.
Number #14 – Dario Saric
Ratings: B C- A- B C+ B
Age: 20 yrs old
Stats (preseason): 14.4ppg, 4.7rpg, 7.1apg
Age: 20 yrs old
Stats (preseason): 14.4ppg, 4.7rpg, 7.1apg
Houston surprised everybody early on last year when he announced Saric as the starting PG last year. How could a rookie, who had limited experience at PG, lead such a talented and veteran team? Some doubted whether he had the skills to compete with some of the point guards around the league. Those doubts became a reality early in the season he wasn't scoring or passing at average rate. But towards the end of the season things started to click. He won a ROTM award and headed into the playoffs on a nice streak.
His hot play continued for the Rockets as they made a deep playoff run. The initial thought of Saric hindering this team from reaching its potential seemed far-fetched once the season came to a close. I'm still not completely sold on him... I think he is an above-average starting PG, but his unique skill-set just might give him an advantage. Hard to stop a 6'11" PG. A nice TC and solid preseason are good signs of a long career for Saric and proving me wrong.
Number #15 –Brandon Knight
Ratings: B A- B- B- C- B
Age: 22 yrs old
Stats (preseason): 13.8ppg, 4.3rpg, 3.7apg
Age: 22 yrs old
Stats (preseason): 13.8ppg, 4.3rpg, 3.7apg
You know what? B-Knight’s ratings look really nice, and I’m sure he enjoys all the IT’s Spence put into him, but I’m not sure he can be a true PG. Well, I guess passing doesn’t matter in life anymore according to all the “experts” so I can stfu. If he ever reaches his peak, I think he reminds me of the B-Knight that we saw in UOSL4…. He had ratings of B A C+ A- C- C or something like that, while averaging 26ppg/5rpg/5apg/2.5spg @ PG.. If this B-Knight can get to that level, he will be a huge success. The only difference is that this B-Knight lacks the defensive skills, but I’m sure Hunter Spence can figure that one out. We haven’t seen Brandon Knight play in a starting role consistently so far in his career, so this year should tell us a lot. He played poorly in preseason, but I take that info with a grain of salt as his shooting was terrible (doesn’t mean much with such a small sample size) and he played SG.
Number #16 –Ricardo Ledo
Ratings: C+ A- C+ C C- B
Age: 20 yrs old
Stats (preseason): 17.5ppg, 3.9rpg, 3.0apg
Age: 20 yrs old
Stats (preseason): 17.5ppg, 3.9rpg, 3.0apg
What the hay happened to my boy? This guy was the cream of the crop from last year’s draft as he was putting up nasty stats (21ppg). In preseason he put up 18ppg in 30mpg which is pretty dang efficient, but I am a little discouraged because of his below-average TC. You can’t help but think the cause of his poor TC was because of the logjam they have at the guard position. Ledo, Woten, Boynton, Goodwin etc…. That much depth may have actually hindered his progression. His is still going to be deadly on the offensive end either way. Is he potential just not as high as I thought or was this TC a fluke? I’m excited to find out the next couple years. If he doesn’t pan out the Grizz just might have a backup plan.
Number #17 –Dajuan Coleman
Ratings: B- C D- B- A- B
Age: 20 yrs old
Stats (preseason): 10.2ppg, 5.6rpg
Age: 20 yrs old
Stats (preseason): 10.2ppg, 5.6rpg
Some may think this is a rather high position for Dajuan Coleman. Well, I simply disagree. He has the makings of a 20/12/2bpg guy in this league. His ceiling may be limited, but he is uber-talented RIGHT NOW. No need for a high ceiling when you are almost at the top. Positional defense is going to be a problem for him, so he needs to get that fixed. Turnovers look like they also might cause issues, but his scoring, rebounding, and shot-blocking more than make up for those deficiencies. I think play got a steal here. He was extremely high up on my draft list and I tried to pry him away from play with no luck. He’s good.
Number #18 –Hanner Parea
Ratings: C+ A- C+ C C- B
Age: 20 yrs old
Stats (preseason): 13.2ppg, 6.5rpg, 2.6apg, 2.4bpg

Just like Dajuan Coleman, Hanner Perea came into UOSL3 with a game suited to take the pounding of elite bigs around the league. It was expected that he would be a good contributor on offense right away, but his TC improvement and defensive acumen have been a pleasant surprise for the Mavericks. The A scouted potential is there, but you have to wonder about his ceiling after looking at ashes notes. In the meantime, he is going to be fabulous this year for the Mavs. A possible ROTY candidate? I think so. His rebounding and terrible shooting are going to be liabilities, but he makes up for that with his Amare –like game on offense.
Number #19 - Nerlen Noals

Typical rebounder/shot-blocking big. It was either him or Nog here.
Number #20 –Austin Rivers
Ratings: B B+ C C+ C- B
Age: 22yrs old
Stats (last season): 12.4ppg, 3.6rpg, 2.4apg, 1.0spg in 23mpg

Eh. This might be too high for him, but I absolutely love his scoring ability. One of the best pure scorers in the entire league. He put up solid numbers in a 6th man role for champions from New Orleans and also had a few breakout scoring games in the playoffs. Outside of scoring he is a mediocre player, but I don’t think he is done growing either. A few IT’s here and there and he could turn into an all-star. The role that I love best for Rivers would be to come off the bench as a combo 1-2 guard in the mold of James Harden and pour in the points. I can see many 6MPOTY awards for him.
Number #20 –TJ Warren
Ratings: B A- C- C C C
Age: 20yrs old
Stats (Preseason): 18.6ppg, 5.5rpg/center]
I put him up here because he is one of the best scorers in the league. Dude could straight up drop 20+ppg on almost any team in the league…. And he’s a rookie!!! SAY WHAT?? He probably has like 50 potential, but dang man I like take 3-4 years of sick production from a guy like TJ Warren. How does svedda get the best guards out of each draft??! DRAFT A BIG MAN, YOU GOON! And, no, I’m not going to cover the 10 other guards you have under 23.
OK, I will talk about one of your guys who ISN'T under 23. I'm including him here because svedda needs a 'talkin to. Are you sane, my man? Yes, I am talking to you again, svedda. How does a guy that puts up 21ppg/4rpg/5apg as a rookie and had a solid TC get demoted to backup PG duties? You must be COOKOO! Sheesh. You must be like a conservative or something. Free enterprise? LOL. FUNNY STUFF. Obama worst President ever? HAHA. Yeah, right…Boynton as backup PG? Funniest of all time. And if you disagree with me then….then….stfu you brainwashed, biased conservative!
