Sonics trade:
Ray Allen
I lose a good deal of solid depth here, but it's all replaceable and is justified by adding a star in Allen. Miles was doing nothing other than rotting on my bench, so not a big loss there. Took us a while to hash this deal out, but nice working with you man.

Best i could find for allen.
Jack is kinda like West, and i like that type of production.
Kapono is someone nice.
Ill buy out Miles at yr end.
And 2 1sts arent bad either.

Ill buy out Miles at yr end. . The buyout rule changed? If was max of 3 years left on the contract and a max of 13 mil total. |

Man, and best i could get for Dirk was two doubtful 1sts and ppl are giving good 1sts for Allen  Sonics, you cant buy out Miles, his contract is over 13 mil. |

Thats a bit much to give up for a guy that is 32 and out for the year don't you think? Nah, not really. Miles was worthless to me. Jones was a nice piece of depth as a swingman, but I've had Webster playing over him all year anyways. Kapono hasn't played well for me yet this year since I acquired him and Allen will just replace him in the lineup anyways. The 2 firsts don't worry me much because I'm planning on being a playoff team these next couple of years and having success. As for Jack, he's the piece that caused me to really think this trade over. I liked him a lot off the bench this year, but I'm gonna move Crawford over to PG and let Rodriguez play backup PG once Allen is back. Although Allen is out for the year, he'll be back after the first round of the playoffs if we happen to make it that far. If not, we have him locked up for two more years and I'm expecting some nice improvements from Roy and Aldridge in these two offseasons. So if that's the case, Roy, Aldridge, Allen, Randolph, and Crawford will be a real nice starting lineup. |

The rules say nothing about stipulations on buy-outs, so I don't know how this can really be enforced. I didn't know about it since I wasn't around until the start of this season. If you read the rules section on roster management under the buy-out section, it just says anyone can be bought out.

kinda surprised u did that deal scott. allen's contract is massive. His 3-year contract doesn't matter much to me. If you look at my salaries, all of my guys are signed for around 3 years anyways. I'm not even close to the hard cap now, so even when Allen expires I won't be either. The financial part of the deal didn't make any difference to me. |

Should be in the rules section too since that's where I check for rules usually. Don't know what's up now. We did the deal assuming Miles could be bought out. If the Sonics still wanna do it with Miles' full contract, it's cool. If they don't, then that's fine with me as well. |

I seriously doubt the Sonics would back out of a deal like this..lol You should be safe. They got Jack and multiple 1sts when they only wanted one 1st.
