I think that would be interesting to start at 1990. But I really like the idea of having a fantasy draft no matter the situation.

i say we start in 1990 or somewhere around there, league last a lot longer. Main problem is that then teams know when to tank for good players and who will turn out good. Everyone knows that Kobe, KG, ect.. will be studs. It would be interesting though if the drafts throughout there were kinda switched around. If everyone thinks Kobe is gonna come out in this year...make him go to college for a year. Would also be nice to have some of the busts (kandi, bradley) be solid players or possibly studs. I'm not a fan of the fantasy draft idea. It will take a while to get everyone and start a draft. I say give everyone a random number, draft numbers and let people pick teams that way (like this league did). |

I can see that and see the good. But the bad maybe that your too connected and not want to do some trading or the fact to do it we would have 29 picks in a round and 15 rounds. How long would it take to get that done.

If a draft is done correctly, it moves fast. Auto after a time limit, and make sure people send lists. then after 5-8 rounds its all auto or lists. To actually build your team instead of being given one makes you more connected. Plus there is more parity in a draft.
As for drafts, I think that knowing who is gonna be good is overrated. Paul Pierce was way better then Kobe in BBS and we started in 2000. They both had similar starting ratings, but PP just blew up. if the draft maker is good, itll be fine.

it's time for a restart, i've been against it the couple other times i've seen it come up but activity is brutal, UOSL2 has exhausted all it's avenues. Time for 3.
Fantasy Draft would be sweet but i'm down for anything.

That first vote for no was clearly W. LOL! Why the hell is that funny. I'm the most active person here on the trade blocks, I think its pathetic that I don't want to restart considering how much better your team is. You're a wuss if you think we should restart. Just take a second to read over your post and realize that it makes no sense. First off the whole LOL thing was a joke. Second, how could it possibly be pathetic that I want a restart? Since I have a more established teams and better players than you I should be against a restart, but I am not, for the greatest good of the league. Someone in your position has the most to gain from a restart. If we were to restart, I would much MUCH more active and it would be considerably more fun. Nearly everyone would agree with me on this. You have to be blind to see that the league is falling apart and standing by and watching it while someone posts for the thousandth time that we need more active GM's is not going to solve anything. |
